Glenn Williams - Helping others

submitted by Sharon Wong from Carol Stream, IL on Aug 18, 2011
Glenn was driving home a disabled member of our church. He was hit by a hit & run driver on the expressway. He followed him and reported him. His car was totaled. The driver had insurance, but the insurance did not pay for the accident. Glenn had insurance also and apparently it wasn't good insurance because his company did not sue the other company to cover his loss. Now he has no car. He does have part-time employment driving a bus during the school year. So, Glenn needs to ride his bike about 3 miles to pick up his bus for work each day. This is fine in good weather as he loves to bike ride. Having a reliable car would help Glenn get more work and continue giving rides to our disabled church member Steve. Steve lives about an hour away and the church paid Glenn to drive him each week- a win-win for Glenn & Steve. Now, other members drive Steve (an accident victim from 30 years ago), but no one is as consistent as Glenn was. Thanks! God bless you!
