Gary Ramey - Gary Ramey - Veteran - Hero

submitted by Chad Ramey from Springfield, IL on Jul 19, 2011
Gary Ramey is a disabled veteran who is employed by the state. He served in Vietnam and often came in contact with agent orange, which as has caused several thousand deaths and horrible health issues for many Americans. Gary too unfortunately is now suffering from nervous system problems and diabetes, however he preservers for his brothers and sisters of our Armed Forces. Gary takes President Lincoln's promise “To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” by honoring the folks who are America’s veterans. Because of Gary’s love for his fellow soldiers, his job is more than a job; it's his way of life. It’s difficult for anyone these days to find employment, but even worse for the disabled veterans. Gary is compassionate about finding work for returning soldiers and for veterans down on their luck. Gary makes regular trips to state prisons to visit with inmates making their return to society. Gary is a model for how American's care for our neighbors
