People’s Resource Center (PRC) is one of 20 nonprofit agencies vying for a new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle in the LOVEbug3 “Share the Love” contest. The contest, sponsored by Fox Valley Volkswagen, is giving away two brand new 2012 21st Century VW Beetles – one to a local nonprofit and one to a deserving individual. To win, contestants must earn votes from the public on the LOVEbug3 contest website, www.lovebugcontest.com.
People’s Resource Center is encouraging its supporters to vote September 1-15 at www.lovebugcontest.com. Voting is open to the public, and voters can log in once per day to cast a vote for their favorite nonprofit organization and for an individual contestant. The top vote-getters will advance to the final voting round to be held in December. If People’s Resource Center wins the Beetle, the organization will raffle off the car to raise funds for its food pantry which serves nearly 32,000 DuPage residents in need.
“Fox Valley Volkswagen believes in community in a big way,” said Emir Abinion, the owner of Fox Valley Volkswagen, which is hosting the contest. “My dealership will not only give one of the highly anticipated 2012 Volkswagen Beetles to an individual making a positive impact in the community, but will also up the ante and give a car to a deserving non-profit.”

The best part is knowing this contest will make a real difference for so many families in need.”
