When it comes to sharing the love, nobody gets it like a dog. So it makes sense for the Naperville Area Humane Society to be in the running for a 2012 Volkswagen on which to base a fundraising project.

Eighteen area nonprofits each are hoping to win the top prize in Fox Valley Volkswagen’s third annual LOVEbug “Share the Love” contest. The sweepstakes ultimately will award two cars: one to a lucky individual, and the other to a local charity.

The cars will be awarded Jan. 20 at a finale party at the dealership. Three finalists in each of the categories will be given a key, and will take a turn trying it in the ignition. The holder of the key that starts the car will win the vehicle.
